To open or load an image in PostworkShop 3 there are 6 methods: loading the image from the menubar icons or direclty dragging and dropping it into the Compositing workspace. We will here show all the possibilities.
Note: we use the Advanced Layout and the Properties+Preview pane separate from the Projects and Styles tabs.  To know how to load an image using the Simple Layout, please refer to the Simple Layout tutorials.

_____How to load an image

- Choose Load Image from the File menu. Select the image from your computer, and click Open.

- Click Load Image icon in the menu bar (first from the left), select the image file from your computer, and click Open.

- Click Load Image icon in the Objects Browser, select the image file from your computer, and click Open.

- Drag and drop the image directly from your computer folder into the Compositing workspace. The opened Image creates a related default layer in the Style Layers view. You can load as many images as you want, they will be inserted each as a different Object.

- Click the "..." button in the Properties+Preview name next to the Image info - Name property.

- You can also recall a previously used image from the Recent Images menu point within the File menu:
Now you can decide wether to resize your image or leave it unchanged. We have here resized our image to 1000x1000px by writing the wanted size into the Width and Height fields.

Now with your first image loaded, PostworkShop looks like: the object is shown in the Objects browser in the lower left part, the Layer #1 of the Object (Image) which is a default layer. The properties of the image can be seen in the Properties+Preview pane on the right.

Note: For a quicker and easier application of the styles and adjusting properties, work with the Properties+Preview pane separated from the Projects/Styles panes. (see:  1.1 First Steps)
