Cintiq 21UX Pen Pressure not working

While  in the process of troubleshooting the freehand painting issue ( see Bug topic ) I installed PWS 3.0.4990 with Win 7 64bit at home. I cant get the pen pressure sensitivity to work? All my other graphic softwares work fine but PWS doesnt respond to pressure on the pen, all strokes are the same strength. I have a Wacom Graphite at the office and it works fine......can you assist me with fixing this at my home computer?

Still trying to get the

Still trying to get the pressure sensitivity to work. I notice the Tablet Properties in the Settings panel, have the Pressure Range and the Effect strength at ZERO ( 0 ). No matter what I do with the sliders next to these options.....they remain at zero. If I highlight the zero number and type another number in its place, it has no effect and reverts to zero when I change the brush ......Is this the cause of the problem. I have also downloaded the current version 3.0.4990 64 bit from your site and reloaded it. didnt help. The Wacom Pen Property utility, shows the pen sesitivity is functioning when I test it on the Cintiq with PWS loaded, yet the line weight has no sensitivity ? Does this info help?

It looks like the tablet

It looks like the tablet manufacturers just found one more new way to communicate these pressure values ... Why it can't work the same way as let's say an Intuos?

Unfortunately we don't have any Cintiqs in the lab, so it won't be easy to fix this problem. I will try to ask around on Facebook whether anybody uses PWS with a Cintiq. If it works for somebody else, then we may find a solution for you too.

Is there an intuos tablet

Is there an intuos tablet that you recommend for use with PWS ?

I currently use Intuos 4

I currently use Intuos 4 (USB) and Intuos 5 (wireless) on both Mac and PC, without any problems.

PostworkShop was developed with Intuos tablets, but later we had to adapt the code for clones that communicated somewhat differently. This might be necessary for the Cintiq too.

Ok thanks.......I will look

Ok thanks.......I will look into that so I can use PWS to its full capability which I am very keen to do. Can I presume the other bug I reported regarding the pressure sensitivity being lost when the project was saved or rendered ( see bug report ) won't happen with the Intuos 4 ?

Pressure sensitivity loss

I bought an Intuos5 tablet and the pen sensitivity works fine in the freehand paint mode as you suggested. But, still,  as I have mentioned in my bug report, the sensitivity is lost when I render a FULL render and save as a jpg or a png file.
Lightweight strokes become heavy and the image is ruined. I have done some testing and this problem does not occur for a preview render and a subsequent save. The same thing does occur however,  if I save the PROJECT as a FULL render. When I recall it.....the image is spoiled by the lightweight strokes becoming heavy. This is obviously very disappointing. I have devised a workaround however. If I save the FULL render as a PSD file ( Photoshop ) then it is saved in its correct, original form. I can then print it or save it for future use. I know you said you would be testing for this issue, so do you now have any thoughts or additional information for this anomaly ? I do truly love this software and find its potential intriguing, which is why I'm spending so much time and money trying to resolve this one issue.
